Hello, Brandi here again.
Today we are going to discuss my experience in blogging. Prior to this
class, I had not written my own blog. I have;
however, been active in reading many different blogs. Now, having written a blog, it allows me to
have a better understanding of what goes into them. It was a very neat experience to take part
in. When thinking ahead to my future
classroom, I am a little torn with how I would implement blogging into it. My hope is to be in lower elementary, so I believe
blogging may be a little too advanced for them.
That being said, I think it is a great way for me as a teacher to get information
out to the parents of my students. My daughter’s teacher has a blog for her
classroom and it is nice to be able to check in and see what is going on and what
they are doing. It is also a great way to
get clarification out to the parents about upcoming assignments for the students. I believe this is probably the way that I
will use it most often. For me, the most
time consuming and difficult part was trying to figure out how I wanted to
structure my blog in order to keep the readers involved and wanting to read
it. I believe that this is somewhere
that I can definitely improve on.
